3-2-1: Summer 2025, Success, Failure, and Finding What Matters Most

Sep 01, 2025

Summer 2025.

This year I’m going to do better at not slipping into that seasonal depression when my favorite season ends.

What a summer it was though...

3 Insights from Me

1. All in.

Water doesn’t boil at 210°. It boils at 212°.

The last 2 degrees make all the difference.

Life and business, as I know it, are the same.

Partial effort = partial results.

The final push is everything.

Go all in.

2. Have some fucking integrity.

What you say matters.

But your words are only as powerful as the actions that follow.

When you don’t follow through, you rob them of their value.

Don’t tell people what they want to hear.

Don’t live in the hollow world of unfulfilled commitments.

Don’t create the illusion of intent.

Prove it by accomplishing the goal and owning the consequences.

Your responsibilities don’t go away when you avoid them.

They sit there, blocking you from ever enjoying the area of your life that they occupy.

3. I'm glad I'm learning this at 34 not 60...

Money alone won’t make you happy.

I used to skim that line in every business book, until I finally had some and realized what it meant.

It’s not the money, it’s the things money allows you to do.

Provide. Make new memories. Spend more time with your favorite people.

That’s what really makes you feel good.

I’m guilty of liking nice things too.

But don’t figure out money just for materialism.

Figure it out for the freedom it can provide.

Freedom might be our best shot at happiness.

2 Quotes from Others

1. On Commitment:

“It doesn't make sense to want something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it.
— James Clear

To crave a reality you're not committed to building is to sign up for disappointment over and over again.

 2. On Sacrifice:

“You either increase your sacrifice, or reduce desire.”
— Random Guy at Starbucks

It's simple.

1 Question for You

First attempts are almost always a failure, so that means you’re gonna be a loser.

I wonder what you’ll do then.

What are you going to do then?
